Me turns 2 years OLD!
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Also you may want to leave a comment to the posts. xD Thanks for visiting! |m|
I just turned 2 years at work! w00t! Time indeed runs fast when you are having fun .. or not xD . I started working here last May 29, 2006, and yesterday marked my 2nd Year anniversary, that’s nothing to brag about though.
From my 2 years of work here all that I received were shit load of memos [just exxagerating!], a free hosting account and this domain (and two more) for free! Should i stay or should I go? LOL! Stay tuned for more!
On a lighter note, I just started with paid reviews on my other site (if some of you noticed, the latter post was also a paid post, well the pay for that post was a little bit lucrative so i grabbed the opportunity). I will be looking for other ways to monetize that stupid blog, I have a family to feed for God’s sake! xD
Me Happy!
New Discovery: Music Download Site
It’s a boring day. I was just doing my usual bloghops when i found this very interesting music download site, MusicMP3.ru . I got a hold of a username and password for an account in the site with a $2 fund for me to use and test the site [don’t ask me where i got it.. xD].
Eventhough the TLD is .ru [MusicMP3.ru], which is a TLD in Russia, the site is in English, that makes it easier for us to understand the texts in the site, thus, navigating, searching and downloading will be much easier.
In the Home page of the site contains lots of information which might help you get started:
- the search box at the top part which you can categorize your search by artists, by album, by songs or per reviews
- left sidebar contains the 20 Most Popular Artists
- center pane contains Music News and Album Reviews
- Right sidebar contains the “Combined Hit-List”
You will also get the chance to know each artists better as they have their own Biography page beside their album lists, though not all artists have a Bio page up. One thing I noticed about the site is their prices. Indeed its dirt cheap! A minute or less track could cost a measly $0.08 and a full track could cost just $0.15. Also, purchasing the whole album could even cost you less as you will have a 10% discount. Imagine buying a 10-track album of your favorite boy band or rock band, thats 10 tracks X $0.15 minus the 10% discount if you decide to buy the whole album, that’s just $1.35! Filling up you car with 2liter gasoline would even cost more than this. Instead of the huge fees you have to pay for regular MP3 download sites, this site thus bring great quality for a fraction of the price.
Also, before purchasing the songs, you can pre-listen to each track that you want to buy. That will give justice to every penny that you will spend as you will only buy those tracks that you’ll like.
NOTE: you can add funds by using you Visa Card, E-Gold, PaySafeCard or Ukash.
Project Alibata
Phew! I’ve been busy for the past two weeks, “End-of-Summer-Rush”, if ever such term exists. The team went to Camotes to a teambuilding last May 10 - 11. One word summarizes Camotes, “overly-beautiful-stunning-island”. Just last weekend, May 17 was the Company Summer Outing in Tambuli Beach Resort in Mactan and it was all booze!
Now, since I’m all done with the “End-of-Summer-Rush”, I have a new project in mind, and that is, to learn how to write or use the ALIBATA. For the sake of everybody,
Alibata is an ancient writing system that was used in what is now the Philippines. Although it was all but exstinguished by Western colonization, variants of it are still used in parts of Mindoro and Palawan, and it is also increasingly used by Filipino youth as a way to express their identity. Alibata, originally known as, Baybayin, is composed of 3 vowels and 14 consonants. The early Filipinos used a sharp pointed iron instrument called sipol as pen. They wrote on banana leaves, tree-barks, and bamboo tubes.
I have been a big fan of the Alibata since grade school, and then came the TV show Pintados (where they used some Alibata words and letters) and some other Ethnic Bands still using the Alibata letters. I’m planning to have the Alibata translation of “iskolares” inked in my back together with the Libra sign.
Having/Knowing how to use the ALIBATA just gives a whole new meaning of being a Filipino for me. Alas, I found a useful link from Paradise Philippines, click here so that you can learn the Alibata too.
