The Swimming Cat video banned from YouTube

If some of you remembered, I posted about my Swimming Cat video from YouTube. A video that produced half a million views and a lot of comments (usually hate comments). Just a week ago, I received an email from YouTube, and guess what the email contained, a notification that the video has been banned from the Tube. Here is a copy of the email.

LOVELY! A very innocent-looking video getting banned from the Tube. Congratulations to me. Now, I am left with no other video in my channel though I am planning to put up Anime music Videos or self-made music videos, but I have to do it in my free time though.

AJ Banal and Miguel Cotto Loses; Rafael Concepcion and Antonio Margarito Wins

The 0’s got to GO! That’s the whole story of championship fights of boxing contender AJ Banal vs Rafael Concepcion and Welterweight greats Miguel Cotto vs Antonio Margarito. Banal and Concepcion was fighting for WBA Interim Superflyweight Championship and Cotto defending his WBA welterweight crown against tough cookie Antonio Margarito.

AJ “Bazooka” Banal started out strong against Rafael “El Torito” Concepcion of Panama and bloodied his nose in the 1st round. The flurry of punches continued in the next few rounds but Rafael Concepcion was also maintaining cheap shots to Banal’s body. By round 9, Concepcion was able to catch Banal with flurries of punches and at the end of the round, Banal was deducted a point for hitting after the break. By round 10, sensing the weakening and grasping of breath by Banal, Concepcion pressured Banal all over until he trapped Banal in the neutral corner and connected with a right hand to the head, and down goes Banal, and he never got up and was counted out by the referee. Banal was leading on all judge’s scorecard but he run out of gas in the 9th and finally submitting oneself in round 10 to tough cookie Rafael Concepcion, and this stunned the hardcore Cebuano boxing fans who was anticipating Banal to be the champion that night, but it was not his night, it was El Torito’s. AJ Banal’s record now stands 17W-1L-1D-14KOS while newly crowned WBA Interim SuperFlyweight champ Rafael Concepcion’s record move to 11W-2L-6KOS.

Meanwhile, 8-5 favorite Miguel Cotto also surrendered to tough Mexican cookie with granite chin, Antonio “Tijuana Tornado” Margarito to capture the WBA Welterweight belt. At early rounds, it was all Cotto moving well and landing almost at will to a taller Margarito. It was almost all 10 points each round for Cotto until the 6th round. In the 7th and 8th, momentum shifted to Margarito as he was pressuring Cotto with some body shots of his own. By the 9th and 10th round, Cotto regained composure and once again lands punches at will but Margarito is taking the punches and throwin his own too. By the 11th round, all bloodied and gassed out, Cotto took a knee(intentional or unintentional) from Margarito for the first KO, once he got up, Margarito battered him to the head and body and down goes Cotto for the second time. Barely getting up and beating the count, Evangelista Cotto threw in the towel to save his nephew from further damage. Cotto has proven to everybody that he has all the skills to take down any top welterweight in the division, but Margarito proved that he has all the heart, will and chin to take all the punches thrown at him.

No excuses, a loss is a loss! Cotto and Banal’s 0’s got to Go! They are now back to the drawing boards. One thing that I don’t get though, everybody now is calling them, specially Cotto, as overrated. For one, they are not overrated! You can call them overrated if they were Ko’ed by “far” less talented, not rated and bum fighters. Call them overrated if they did not show all of what they are made of. During their fight, they showed every skills that they have, it’s just that at their respective fights they met two tough cookies to crack (Margarito’s granite chin is indeed “granite”). Every great boxer has had to let go of their 0 losses, Oscar DeLa Hoya, Bernard Hopkins, Manny Pacquiao, Lennox Lewis, Roy Jones, Jose Luis Castillo, Diego Corrales, Marco Antonio Barrera, Erik Morales, Arturo Gatti and all the other great boxers had blemishes on their record, not 1 loss, not 2 losses, even more. NOW, CAN YOU CALL ALL THESE FIGHTERS OVERRATED?! You better think again smart ass!

In this weekend’s championship fights, WILL indeed OVERPOWERED SKILLS. These fighters are not overrated, not overrated, not overrated!

GOOGLE PR DROPPED!

What a way to start my day! This blog’s Google PR dropped from PR3 to PR0. I don’t freaking know what happened or what was the basis of the drop on PR. My 2 other blogs remained on PR3 (http://kinakusgan.com) and PR2 (http://simplyblackandwhite.net). I don’t understand how the Google system works. Just as I was starting to get constant amount of traffic and visits daily, then now this? Arrgggggh! Google is evil! I hope they put my PR back on the next update as some advertisers look mostly for average to high PR blogs. How will earn from my site now? T_T

Eraserheads Reunion Concert?

It’s July 19 and the earthquake prediction slated for July 18 did not come true (as if I was surprised). It’s good news as we will still be able to witness a rumored reunion concert by one of the Philippines’ best band. The Eraserheads Reunion Concert is said to be slated on August 30, 2008 at the CCP Open Grounds. Though GMANews has indeed confirmed that the reunion will indeed happen on the said date and place.

Eraserheads Reunion Concert, Eraserheads Reunion, Eraserheads concertThe band composed of Ely Buendia, Buddy Zabala, Marcus Adoro, and Raimund Marasigan will play full 45 minutes on August 30. For those E-heads fans who have been clamoring for the band to reunite after they disbanded on 2002 should not let this opportunity pass. I for one is an E-heads fan and I would love to watch this event only if it will be staged in Cebu.

The reunion concert rumor has been going on for a long time ever since the band disbanded in 2002. Some sources have claimed that the reunion is happening because a big amount is involved (an estimated P2.5 million to P10 million apiece) for them to play 1 45-minute set, though Ely (the band’s front man) claimed that the reunion was pressed to the undying clamor and support by the fans and not because of the money.

It remains to be seen though if the band will be reuniting for good. They have had sold-put tribute albums and concerts and fans clamoring for their reunion, and if they will indeed reunite for good, expect the following of old and new Eraserheads fans just hibernating somewhere listening to old tracks of the band.
