Is AsiaCenturyPH for real? I hate to say this or anything, but I simply think they are not for real. For quite a number of reasons that I have personally gathered, I simply think they are a scam.
Here are the reasons that I think are valid enough:
-
I have not received my payout and I don’t know which part of their administration page to set the payment details (if any of you knows, please help!)
-
Their emails/newsletters are not professional-looking and even has typos and grammatical errors in it
-
Their emails/newsletters, contain affiliate links masked with tiny url (suspicious)
-
Some link on their newly updated site, does not work. It is not as if they just updated the site days ago, they have updated it like 1 month ago?
-
I CAN’T LOGIN! It does not give any trap error. It’s just that I cant LOGIN!
Anybody out there who agrees with me and my rants? Please make your own post and let’s start a revolution. Make your own post about AsiaCentury and post a comment here so that I can add you in the list of those having problems with them, and please don’t forget to add my URL in the list and everybody on the list.

Five People You Meet In Heaven
But all endings are also beginnings. We just don’t know it at the time.
“Mitch Albom, The Five People You Meet In Heaven, pg. 1 line 3-4″
I was feverish yesterday so I had to lie in bed the whole day, in my sister’s bedroom. So, on the bedside were books (my sister is a Grade School Teacher), books, books and more books. Of all the books in the stand, small book with “Mitch Albom” largely printed on the cover caught my attention. It was because, I thought it was a story about a person named “Mitch Albom” (how stupid of me). I am not a book lover, because I have this feeling that books create false pretenses that may be/will be the basis of our future judgement, but there is something with this book that had urged me to open that front page and read the lines after that.
The book is, Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom (author of Tuesdays With Morrie; I don’t know that book and haven’t read it). The book started with an ending. Yes, you read it right, it began with an end, an end to the main character’s life, Eddie. I really suck at doing book reviews, I swear, because my whole life, the only “legit” book (with that I mean a “book” book, not a “school book”.. LOL) was HAMLET by William Shakespear. I was forced to read it for a book review project in High School.
So there I was, in bed, reading every word Mitch Albom wrote in the book. It was as if I was part of the story because one way or another, I had the same questions about time, life and love. Questions such as “Why am I here?” “Why did he do that?” “If I die, will somebody even cry?”. It’s as if the book was really made to answer some questions that I have long asked my self. And reading on, it mentioned two of my greatest fears in life, (1)growing old, sickly, grumpy and useless and (2) losing a loved one. The book was not overly sentimental yet I can feel that it can elicit emotions from the readers.
I won’t give any justice to the book if I make a book review. All you have to do is grab a copy and read the book. I would be glad to know what you think of it too.
Life has to end, love doesn’t.
The Failed Quest for $500
If some of you remembered [and as if you cared], I posted a goal to reach $500 of online earnings by October 9 (which is my 21st birthday) and I named it The Quest for $500. And the start, everything went well. A steady earning on Adsense (a few cents a week), approved blogs for paid-postings and etc. until the inevitable happened. On that span of time, I lost my Google PageRank 3 and it dropped to 0. After 2 months, another misfortune happened after I exceeded my monthly allowable bandwidth for the month of August and September. I was charged $140 dollars for it and just 3 days ago, I received another invoice of $31 dollars for the excess bandwidth that was not charged on the same month.
I was able to pay the $140 charge for the excess bandwidth using the earning I earned with paid posts and others. The other $31 dollar invoice was paid using money from a donation of John because he liked the GreyMonger Wordpress Theme that I created (check out John’s page to see his artworks).
As a conclusion, QUEST FAILED! But I did learn new lessons during that span of time that will, in the future, help me earn more online. From Google’s PR to SEO and to lame-ass hotlinking (that was the main culprit of the excess bandwidth). So we have to move on and find better ways to make money online.
P.S.
Happy 21st Birthday to me. This is by far my best birthday so far, in 4 years, as I spent if with people that are really special to me. (OMG! that sounded so mushy!)
Episode 1 - dMusicBox is going on Air
For the past days, my mind went blank on what to write and post here, so I decided to make a podcast for all of you. I’m planning to release 1 episode of the “dMusicBox” once in every 2 weeks (bi-weekly?!).
So let’s cut all the crap and start on with the show. I did the intro part “dMusicBox | blaring through your monitors and speakers” voice over and I need every comment on how I can improve the voice over. It was recorded using the default Windows Sound Recorder (yup! I’m on windows) and edited using Virtual DJ 5.2 Pro.
For this first episode, the tracks and artists featured are as follows:
- Selector - Skindred
- Phoebe Cates - FenixTX
- Stupid Kid - Alkaline Trio
- No It Isn’t - Plus 44
- Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja - The Lostprophets
Enjoy! Do drop a comment for improvements on the next episode.
