Once again, I wast doing my usual round on the blogosphere when I decided to again check the rankings of top Web Hosting Companies. I have done this before on a random Sunday morning, when I was also checking for current top web hosting companies. So I went back to their site to check whether their were changes since the last time I checked. During my first visit, Inmotion topped the crop of all web hosting companies, and now, they still remain on top of the crop with a 98% satisfaction rating while BlueHost came in second place on the list of top Web Hosting Companies with a satisfaction rating of 97% (again, the Web Hosting company where I work for and where I leech this domain and this hosting account from did not break into their Top 10, while in other sites, they do break into the Top 10 often). What’s more notable though is they have now posted the “Best Web Hosting Awards 2008″ on their site, with HostMonster, LunarPages, InMotion and others each bagging an award from the site with personal comprehensive customer reviews that could guide you in your quest if you are looking for a new webhosting company to host all your old/new sites.

You can easily find web hosting reviews online, however you need to check if the websites reviewing them are reliable as well. You have to be wary about some websites that seek to promote hosting providers and as a result would publish glowing reviews about them. While it is possible for these reviews sites to pick out their favorites, you should still be able to discern if these reviews are only meant to sway potential clients into their favor. An objective review should not merely present the offerings and services of the hosting provider, but should also include the flaws of the hosting company as well, so that readers can formulate their own decisions.
