After the Oscar Dela Hoya vs. Manny Pacquiao fight, everybody has been craving to see Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao be pitted agains Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton. Well, it was a fight most of boxing afficionados wanted to see. Pacman vs. The Hitman. From a marketing standpoint and boxing standpoint, it was a sure sell.
But just this week, there has been reports that the Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao and Ricky “The Hitman” Hatton fight is off. Starting the negotiation at a 60-40 split in favor of Pacquiao, it was change to a 50-50 split. Pacquiao was still not happy with the split so the lates offer was a 52-48 split, again, in favor of Pacquiao, but the deal was still scrapped because Pacquiao was not happy with the split.
With a 52% split, that’s a guarrantedd $12 million for Pacquiao. Isn’t that enough for him? With today’s economy, he should start thinking about it. Somebody should start to talk sense in Pacquiao’s head. Maybe Freddie Roach might help as he had always done. If Pacquiao thinks he can get another opponent that is much more marketable that Hatton, he could be wrong. If he wants to fight Floyd Mayweather and if ever the fight will be on, FLOYD wants more money as he has always been in his past fights. Pacquiao vs. Margarito? Pacquiao vs. Cotto? Pacman vs. The Hitman is the best fight there is as of the moment and Pacquiao and all his so-called advisers should start thinking sense.
Quoted from Freddie Roach “A $12 million guarantee today is unbelievable,” Roach said. “They think they can get (Floyd) Mayweather (Jr.), but he is still retired. And if he does fight, he is going to want all the money because that’s the kind of guy he is.”
Please Freddie Roach, save Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao’s so-called advisers should stop talking nonsense into Pacquiao’s head.
