To Redirect or NOT to Redirect?

I started out this blog as a test and the main domain, tambayanbox.org, was the main site. Eventually, this blog grew and traffic came in while the main domain was left due to the fact that the main site was hardcoded while this blog is under Wordpress. For the longest time this blog has stayed in this subdomain, http://blog.tambayanbox.org while the main site at http://tambayanbox.org was left out, no update, no pagerank, no whatever, nadan, nil, zilch!

Now, I am left with the delimma, should I transfer this blog to the main domain at http://tambayanbox.org? I dont really need to worry about my Pagerank since Google Doesn’t Love Me and I have not regained back my PR3. I have a number of indexed posts in Google and other search Engines though and I am weary that I might lose those if I decide to transfer to the main domain. Also, my blog name from [d'Musicbox] would now turn into [TambayanBox]*? Ewwwwww ^_^ .

I know I can use a 301 redirect but will I get the results that I want? That if somebody will search for Manny Pacquiao’s Next Opponent, they will still be redirected to the same post but on a different domain name? Any help will do. ^_
